At the Hospital Saturday Fund, we are proud to support Swansea University’s medical elective programme. This year, we awarded a grant of £10,000 to Swansea university, enabling 12 medical students to study abroad. This funding allows students to gain invaluable international experience, explore diverse medical practices, enhance their clinical skills, and broaden their global perspectives.
Some students opt for prestigious institutions or renowned specialist clinics, while others seek to gain hands-on experience in specific medical fields they are passionate about. Many choose to go overseas to witness medical practices in diverse settings.
These electives provide invaluable experiences, helping to shape the future careers of Swansea’s medical students.
