Shaping Futures: Providing Support and Care
ChildVision provides support and care for children with sight loss, other profound sensory impairments and additional medical conditions. The organisation also provides significant support to their families. Each year, 2,500 children and families receive assistance.
Empowering Vision: ChildVision’s Dedication
ChildVision is the only organisation in Ireland to work with children who are blind or have sight loss and in most cases, have sensory and physical conditions. ChildVision provides critical support through nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychological support and much more. Children as young as a few months old will begin their journey at Early Years at ChildVision, where they start navigating a busy visual world.
Changing Children’s Lives: The €7,367 Grant
The Hospital Saturday Fund presented a grant of €7,367 to ChildVision. This grant will allow ChildVision to continue changing the lives of both young and old students, making their journey comfortable and at the same time, empowering all their students to live independently.
Clear Pathways: Access to Vital Tools
This grant will assist their youngest students with much-needed medical care aids. Equipment such as Rije Dysphagia Hand Steady Cups, Ark’s Feeding Therapy Kit, and Topaz XL HD Desktop Video Magnifiers.
The Topaz XL HD Desktop Video Magnifier is a key tool that provides assistance to both young and older readers allowing them to read, write, view photographs, and have independent access to information. This life-changing equipment will be beneficial for children of all ages attending Reading and Education Services at Childvision.
