The Hospital Saturday Fund Supports 27 Scottish Charities at Edinburgh Reception
The Hospital Saturday Fund were delighted to award over £137,000 in grants to 27 Scottish charities at a special charity reception held at The University of Edinburgh. We were honoured to be in the beautiful and historic setting of the University of Edinburgh, and we are deeply grateful to the University for their generosity in hosting us. The evening also marks a special milestone, as it is The Hospital Saturday Fund’s first Charity Reception in Edinburgh.
Guests were also privileged to hear from Gavin Hastings, OBE, former Scotland and British & Irish Lions Rugby Union Captain. His inspiring address highlighted the importance of community, resilience, and supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference across Scotland.
Paul Jackson, Group Chief Executive of HSF, expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the organisation’s support:
“We are delighted to uphold our tradition of assisting a wide range of charities across Scotland, including many that may not receive widespread recognition. The Hospital Saturday Fund is honoured to contribute to the crucial work of these incredible organisations, whose dedication has a profound and positive impact on so many lives.”
Paul also highlighted a recent visit to The Neuro Therapy Place in Edinburgh, a charity offering physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and oxygen therapy to people living with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, MS, motor neurone disease, and long Covid. The organisation uses specialist equipment, including a decompression chamber, which increases oxygen levels in the blood to support tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and improve cognitive function.
