London’s Air Ambulance
London’s Air Ambulance is a charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Using a helicopter and rapid response cars, they bring the hospital to the patient when time is critical. London’s Air Ambulance works closely with the NHS and receives some funding from their NHS partners. However, they are not an NHS organisation and the majority of the service’s running costs are funded through corporate partners and community groups.
Previous grants
At the end of 2018, we were delighted to present a cheque for £10,000 to Mark Davies, Director of Development at London’s Air Ambulance. At that time, the grant was to fund vital Head Injury research.
Covid-19 grant
London’s Air Ambulance service has remained fully operational throughout the coronavirus outbreak and we were able to provide support to them recently, through our Covid-19 grant – hospitalsaturdayfund.org/covid-19-grant/
Grant update – London’s Air Ambulance
The Hospital Saturday Fund have made an invaluable contribution to the work of London’s Air Ambulance Charity over the years. The most recent grant awarded is helping us pay for the additional travel and accommodation expenses of our advanced trauma team as they support nationwide efforts to manage the impact of Covid-19. We are extremely grateful for this continued support.
Jonathan Jenkins, London’s Air Ambulance Charity CEO.
