The Hospital Saturday Fund & FitzRoy: £10,000 Grant for Specialised Support Program
The Hospital Saturday fund loves to listen to people’s stories. John Greenwood, Chair, spoke to Denise Harkin, Fitzroy’s Head of Communications and Fundraising, to gather more information for the £10,000 grant.
FitzRoy aims to use the grant to fund specialist help for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues and brain injuries. It is forecasted to provide specialist support for 60 people in the coming year.
FitzRoy’s Impact: Changing Lives for the Better
Individuals with learning disabilities may use behaviours of distress as a way to communicate their needs, which can pose a risk of injury to themselves and others. Therefore, specialised care is necessary to assist them in improving their communication skills and to help others understand them better.
Many of us have witnessed people with diverse learning disabilities who lead challenging and isolated lives. Appropriate support can make a significant difference in their quality of life and also for their families. This is where FitzRoy excels, as they offer specialised support in a conducive and comfortable environment.
The Hospital Saturday Fund: The Grant
The Hospital Saturday Fund were proud to present the grant of £10,000 to FitzRoy to help them deliver their charity goals and aspirations. We are honoured to support their mission and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will undoubtedly make on people’s lives.
