About Partners for Health 2022
We have been in a grant making partnership with London Catalyst since 2015.
Partners for Health offers grants to registered charities within the M25 area of London. Priority is given to charities with an annual income of £500,000 or less who have not previously received a ‘Partners for Health’ grant.
The grants range from £3,000 to £10,000 and are usually for one year.
The applications are being co-ordinated by The London Catalyst.
The deadline for receipt of applications is 5:00pm on Thursday 2nd June 2022
• Shortlisted applicants will be informed by Monday 13th June 2022
• Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present to an interview panel
• Interviews will take place on Wednesday 29th June 2022
• A final decision will be made after the interview.
The African & Caribbean Dental Association – grantees in 2021
In 2021, the African & Caribbean Dental Association were one of the recipients of a Partners for Health grant. This will be used to help develop and expand their community outreach programme which covers soup kitchens, homeless shelters and other community hubs where homeless people/rough sleepers congregate.
The project includes handing out dental kits (the dental kits include a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and mouthwash), handing out informational leaflets (the leaflets contain a list of local dentists, basic oral hygiene instruction, information about eligibility for free dental care and instructions on how to receive dental care, both emergency and regular).
About the African & Caribbean Dental Association
In 2012, the African & Caribbean Dental Association (ACDA-UK) was formed in response to a demand for better oral health awareness amongst minority groups in the United Kingdom and as a way for any like-minded dental professional to network, share experiences, learn from each other and give something back to their local communities.
It aims to promote, preserve and protect oral health amongst ethnic minority groups, especially within the African and Caribbean communities in the UK and the world at large.
